Disney Cruise Line: Taking a Vacation on the Magic!
I know what you are probably thinking – “That Mom Spark REALLY loves a Disney cruise!” And you would be right. So naturally, I am going on another one!
photo courtesy of Disney Cruise LineThis will be the third Spring break spent on a Disney cruise, with a new ship (Dream and Fantasy) each time, and this one is no different. For this cruise, we will be sailing on the Disney Magic, which was just recently “reimagined” (remodeled). We are beyond excited!
We will be also be squeezing in some Walt Disney World time, too, while staying at Disney’s Pop Century Resort and Polynesian Resort (hello easy Dole whip access). Needless to say, I am beyond thrilled to get this vacation going. The kids may be a bit excited, too. 🙂
Since I am leaving THIS WEEKEND, it’s time to start packing (in my new Osprey luggage) and making a list of everything I need to take care of before leaving. Fortunately, I have a couple of blog posts already written to help me plan:
- Disney Cruise Line: Preparing for Your Disney Cruise
- Disney Cruise Line: Planning a Second Disney Cruise
Though, I am adding a few new things to our cruise this year:
- Fish Extender – A ship activity that is a little like “Secret Santa,” where participating families drop gifts into “fish extenders” with pockets that hang outside cabin room doors. I think my little guy will get a kick out of the surprises he will receive each day!
- Pirate Costumes – Yes, I went little nuts this year and bought myself a pirate dress, as well as a full pirate costume for my little guy to wear on pirate night! I couldn’t talk the teen into participating, but I do plan on packing a Mickey pirate t-shirt just in case!
So, I hope you will follow my Disney vacation on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram under the hashtag #MomSparkMagic (yes, a special hashtag this year!). Also, stay tuned for a special travel post next Thursday (while I will be cruising!) that includes photos from my teenage son that he took last year on our Disney Fantasy cruise. It is truly special seeing the vacation from his perspective. Here is a sneak peek:
In the meantime, take a walk around the Disney Fantasy!
Disclosure: I will be receiving a few perks as a VIP guest during this cruise vacation, but all travel, food, and miscellaneous costs were covered by me. Thoughts are my own.
