Great recipe! Shakes are a great way to get a load of nutrients in one shot too! I just wrote about getting healthy on my blog. Would love you to check it out and follow me.
I’m glad you like it!
That actually sounds really good, and it’s not that many ingredients….may have to pick up some berries and flaxseed tomorrow so I can try this.:)
@Mel, It’s so super easy. I want to try it with frozen berries next time, I think it will make it much colder and “shake-like”. 🙂
That looks awesome. Definitely a healthy way to go!
@Curt, Thanks! Also if it isn’t sweet enough, you could always add a zero calorie sweetener. 🙂
Yum! Going to try this one for sure!
@Desiree Fawn, Let me know what you think. It’s simple, but very good.
Oh wow, this sounds sooo good!
Looks yummy…..I started protein shakes as part of my healthy kick last week and I love it…..
@Bibi, I love shakes or smoothies for breakfast because I don’t have a huge appetite when I first wake up. This one helps wake me up. 🙂
I agree with Bibi – add some vanilla protein powder and maybe some spinach (sounds gross but with a banana you can’t taste the spinach). The protein will help you feel full longer and help with building muscle which burns more calories at rest.
@Janice- The Fitness Cheerleader, Thank you for the suggestion!
This looks so yummy.
Thumbs up for sure.
@Pam, Thank you!
Wow! That looks so yummy! What a great encouragement for eating healthy!!
@gingerlyspice, My pleasure! It is a simple shake, but the strawberries make it naturally sweet. 🙂
I love making my own smoothies and shakes with frozen fruit – all the taste of Jamba Juice, none of the calories. ha ha! This recipe sounds good!
@Jenn @therebelchick, Exactly! Everyone should save their money and make them at home! Do you have a smoothie maker? I just have a standard blender.
@Mom Spark, I just have a blender that has a setting for smoothies, it works just fine! 🙂
