It is the ultimate of patriotic recipes and patriotic desserts. With no candy thermometer necessary! And who doesn’t love blue desserts and blue treats?

Although a homemade fudge recipe may seem difficult to make, it certainly isn’t! All you need is a few simple ingredients and an easy recipe like the one I’m sharing today.

Instructions for July 4th Red, White, and Blue Patriotic Fudge Recipe

  1. Line a 9 x 9 pan with aluminum foil. Spray the pan with a nonstick vegetable spray and set aside.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, add 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk, the blue candy melts, 1 tablespoon butter, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and 1/8 teaspoon salt. Microwave the mixture for 30 seconds and stir. Microwave in additional 15-second increments until the candy melts are completely melted and smooth.
  3. Pour into the bottom of the 9 x 9 pan and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  4. In a microwave-safe bowl, add 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk, the white candy melts, 1 tablespoon butter, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and 1/8 teaspoon salt. Microwave for 30 seconds and stir. Microwave in additional 15-second increments until the white candy melts are completely melted and smooth.
  5. Pour on top of the chilled blue layer of fudge and chill again for 30 minutes.
  6. In a microwave-safe bowl, add 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk, the red candy melts, 1 tablespoon butter, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and 1/8 teaspoon salt. Microwave for 30 seconds and stir. Microwave in additional 15-second increments until completely melted and smooth.
  7. Pour the red mixture on top of the cooled white fudge and refrigerate for 4 hours or until completely set.
  8. Cut into even squares and ENJOY!!

an important thing to note: store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
