Creamy Onion Veggie Dip Recipe
Made with Lipton Recipe Secrets Onion Soup Mix, this creamy onion appetizer dip is quick, easy, and absolutely delicious for dipping veggies!
Ahh, summer…much more relaxing than the school year right? Well, kind of. For me, when it comes to meal planning summer can almost be more difficult than the school year. Everyone’s schedule is off and it’s easy to lose track of what meal is happening when. Not to mention that it’s too darn hot to turn on the oven (especially if you’re here in Oklahoma like me). Sometimes it’s even hard to get people to eat in the heat, let alone eat healthy snacks.
One of my favorite easy meal solutions solves three problems at once. Getting kids to eat vegetables, putting a meal on the table quickly, and not having to turn on the oven.
The first step is to create this Creamy Onion Dip with Lipton Recipe Secrets Onion Soup Mix and Hellman’s Real Mayonnaise.
I love the onion flavor from the french onion soup mix original recipe, as it makes a great dip for fresh veggies. I also love that simple ingredients can make such an easy dip recipe. Such a great recipe to whip up quickly!

Slice up some fresh cucumbers and green peppers, and put out a bowl of carrots (or whatever veggies your kids like) and you have an almost instant side dish that makes sure everyone gets their vitamins. No one can resist vegetables when they’re dipped in creamy onion dip, especially a classic dip like this one.
Layout some crackers and make up a batch of chicken, tuna, or egg salad to go with it and you really have a complete meal of protein, carbs, and veggies, all without turning on your oven. This meal is also portable if you find yourself eating a lot of your summer meals at kids’ baseball or soccer games. Just make sure to put some ice packs in the cooler to keep everything delicious.
I like using Hellman’s Real Mayonnaise in my creamy dip and my salads because it’s made with the highest quality, Non-GMO ingredients like Certified Humane free-range eggs and 100% sunflower oil. It works great for salads, dips, or just as a spread on sandwiches. It also makes a heck of a good dip!
