Pink & Fruity Watermelon Margaritas Recipe
This sweet, fruity salt-rimmed watermelon margarita will make your heart sing during Cinco de Mayo and all summer long!
Ingredients
- 3 cups watermelon - seeds removed and frozen for at least 30 minutes
- 1/2 cup tequila
- 1/4 cup simple syrup
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
- Lime wedge and sanding sugar for rims
- Watermelon wedges for garnish
Instructions
- Cut out a small wedge from a lime and run the wedge along the rims of your serving glasses.
- 2. Pour the sanding sugar into a shallow bowl and dip each rim into the sugar. Set the serving glasses aside. (I actually chilled mine for 15 minutes).
- 3. Place the frozen watermelon into a blender. Add the tequila, simple syrup and lime juice. Blend for 15 to 20 seconds.
- 4. Pour into serving glasses nd garnish with a watermelon wedge on each rim.
