DIY Despicable Me 3 MINIONS Snowglobes
The post is in partnership with Universal Pictures Home Entertainment.
As you probably already know, we’re a bit obsessed with the Minions here at Mom Spark. It’s hard not to be, with them being so hilariously funny and super duper cute and all! So, naturally were very, very excited to hear that that Despicable Me 3 Special Edition on Blu-ray & DVD releases on Tuesday, December 5th. That’s just a few days from now, which is just in time for the holidays!
The Despicable Me 3 Special Edition includes an all-new mini-movie, Minion Moments and more. All of your favorite characters, Gru, his wife Lucy, their three adorable daughters—Margo, Edith and Agnes—and the Minions, are back and guaranteed to make your kids giggle for hours!
To celebrate the new release, I have put together a fun do-it-yourself project that is perfect for the holidays as well.
Despicable Me 3 MINIONS Snowglobes.
Aren’t they the coolest?
They’re super easy to make with your kiddos and sure to make them smile each time they shake them up.
WHAT YOU NEED
- Small Clear Jelly Jars with Lid
- Large Google Eyes
- Black Construction Paper
- 1 tsp Glycerin
- Neon Yellow Fine Glitter
- Distilled Water
- Small Sponge Brush
- Low-Temp Hot Glue Gun
- Blue Denim Acrylic Paint
- All-purpose craft glue
HOW TO MAKE
- Using sponge brush, paint lid with denim paint until well-covered. When completely dry, add water, a large amount of glitter, and glycerin the jar until almost full. Close with the lid.
Flip jar over (lid on bottom) and apply a strip of 7-inch black construction paper for the “goggles” using a hot glue gun. Hot glue one or two eyes on top of paper strip. Create a mouth (a smile or circle will work) from black paper and secure with craft glue.
- Shake the jar up!
Despicable Me 3 Special Edition on Blu-ray and DVD makes the perfect holiday gift this season. I plan on wrapping a copy up and placing in my youngest son’s stocking for Christmas Day. I can’t wait to see his face when he opens it.
Grab your copy at Target, the store’s exclusive version not only features an all-new mini-movie, but 20 mins of additional content, collectible cards, and Minion temporary tattoos.
