Not-So-Scary Halloween Treat
I recently followed an interesting online conversation between mothers. One mother was concerned that her seven-year-old wanted a “scary” Halloween costume. She thought he was too young for that. Other moms chimed in with their thoughts as well. Some thought that the mother should stand her ground and refuse to buy a scary costume. One mom pointed out that you can’t teach kindness and scare people at the same time. But others said that Halloween was about being scared, so it’s a great time to teach kids to start handling uncomfortable feelings, like being scared.
I tend to take a bit of a light approach to Halloween, so for everything scary I like to include something fun! That is why I’m sharing this great ghost cupcake recipe to celebrate Halloween in a not-so-scary way.
