Boho Bohemian Summer Fashion and Styles

Summertime is all about relaxation, keeping mellow, and enjoying the sun, right? Perhaps that’s why bohemian, hippie-esque style comes back in full force as soon as the flowers start to bloom. Flowing dresses, embroidered patterns, funky beads, layers, and lots of jewelry. Think festival style, barefoot on the beach, stargazing — fabulous!

Take a peek below for some of my boho-influenced picks for the season.

This dress via Free People is pretty dreamy.

I think one of my summer goals will have to be to add a crocheted piece to my wardrobe. This crocheted maxi available via Boston Proper comes in four colours, and won’t break the bank.

dreamcatcher slave bracelet

A little handmade love by Purple Finch. Their shop is filled to brim with gorgeous accessories!

white eyelet dress fashion

Eyelet dresses are back big this season. Grab up this cute number over at Xena Vintage while it lasts! (Less than $20, ladies. Someone snatch it up!)

gold headband fashion

How about this fun headband by Alice In Bloom? (Also, I adore her eye makeup. I just can’t master that smokey look! Can anyone teach me?)

The lining of this gorgeous Free People backpack is what gets to me… and it’s on sale. (I just can’t stop myself from drooling over pretty linings. It’s always the first thing I check when I’m purse/wallet hunting. Anyone else?)

Hmmm. Would you indulge me in swooning a moment over that very first dress? Cozy, comfy, breezy… LOVE. I think I’d live it in all summer! (But I’d definitely be adding a rope-style belt to it. Belts are basically the best way to add definition to any dress you feel is heading down the mumu route to Shapelessville. Plus, a braided belt is a boho-must-have. Two birds, one stone.)

Hope I’ve got you all inspired to add a little 70s flair to your wardrobe!

Peace!
