DIY Despicable Me MINIONS Snowglobes
As you probably already know, we’re a bit obsessed with the Minions here at Mom Spark. It’s hard not to be, with them being so hilariously funny and super duper cute and all! So, naturally, we’re very, very excited to hear that Despicable Me 3 Special Edition on Blu-ray & DVD releases soon. That’s just a few days from now, which is just in time for the holidays!
To celebrate the new release of Despicable Me 3, I have put together a fun do-it-yourself project that is perfect for the holidays as well.
Despicable Me MINIONS Snowglobes.
Aren’t they the coolest?
They’re super easy to make with your kiddos and sure to make them smile each time they shake them up.
WHAT YOU NEED
- Small Clear Jelly Jars with Lid
- Large Google Eyes
- Black Construction Paper
- 1 tsp Glycerin
- Neon Yellow Fine Glitter
- Distilled Water
- Small Sponge Brush
- Low-Temp Hot Glue Gun
- Blue Denim Acrylic Paint
- All-purpose craft glue
HOW TO MAKE
- Using a sponge brush, paint the lid with denim paint until well-covered. When completely dry, add water, a large amount of glitter, and glycerin to the jar until almost full. Close with the lid.
-
Flip the jar over (lid on bottom) and apply a strip of 7-inch black construction paper for the “goggles” using a hot glue gun. Hot glue one or two eyes on top of the paper strip. Create a mouth (a smile or circle will work) from black paper and secure it with craft glue.
- Shake the jar up!
