Ingredients

  • *Bourbon also works great in this recipe instead of the rum.
  • 2 cup pure apple cider
  • 1/2 cup cranberry-apple juice
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 to 4 ounces dark or spiced rum

Instructions

  • Heat apple cider, cranberry-apple juice, and cinnamon sticks in a small saucepan over low heat; simmer 10 minutes. Discard cinnamon sticks; serve in mugs and top with rum, stirring well. Serve immediately.
  • Testing note: I used the apple cider that is sold in the refrigerated section of the grocery near fresh orange juice.
