Hot Apple Cider Toddy
This hot apple cider toddy is sure to get you in the mood for a crackling fire, oversized sweaters and curling up with a good book!
Ingredients
- *Bourbon also works great in this recipe instead of the rum.
- 2 cup pure apple cider
- 1/2 cup cranberry-apple juice
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 2 to 4 ounces dark or spiced rum
Instructions
- Heat apple cider, cranberry-apple juice, and cinnamon sticks in a small saucepan over low heat; simmer 10 minutes. Discard cinnamon sticks; serve in mugs and top with rum, stirring well. Serve immediately.
- Testing note: I used the apple cider that is sold in the refrigerated section of the grocery near fresh orange juice.
