The time zone change (10.5 hours ahead of my Central time) was brutal and adjusting in only a matter of days has been near impossible. If you are following me on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter (handle @MomSpark on each!), you know that I have already traveled from Bangalore to Jaipur with quite a few experiences along the way. Saying that, I wanted to still produce an update for each day of my journey, so I present to you Day 2.

Day 2.

Arrived at the DFW airport VERY early for good measure. I was fortunate enough to be flying business class, which granted me access to the business class lounge, where I could stay until my flight departed.

The lounge was quiet, spacious, and clean. The amenities were nice – wine, coffee, pastries, even warm soup – but what I loved most about the space was the huge window that hosted a view of planes taking off.

I fantasized about where each plane was going and if the passengers were headed to a new location or if they were coming home after a long journey elsewhere. The visuals in my head were calming and I felt a sense of gratefulness that I was fortunate enough to be experiencing an adventure of my own soon. Not just any adventure, either, but one that would take me to the other side of the world. I was so very grateful.

The flights were long, a total of over 20 hours of travel, but I made it. I made it to India.

Stay tuned for Day 3 (read Day 1 here) of my journey to India and follow #5by20 for updates from myself and the group. and if you missed it.
