How to Make Hot Chocolate Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9×13-inch cake pan and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the pudding mix and milk. Stir in the cake mix and 2 cups of marshmallows and chocolate chips.
  3. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out nearly clean. 
  4. Remove from oven and sprinkle with remaining marshmallows and the hot chocolate mix and allow to cool completely in the pan for 1 hour before serving.

  • 1 box chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk, you can use 2%, 1% or even milk substitute, but whole milk makes it richer
  • 1 box chocolate fudge cake mix
  • 4 cups mini marshmallows, divided
  • 1 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp Swiss Miss hot chocolate mix, any flavor

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9x13-inch pan and set aside.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the pudding mix and milk. Stir in the cake mix and 2 cups of marshmallows and chocolate chips.
  • Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out nearly clean.
