This is GREAT! Needed something sweet, and this is stuff you should have in your pantry already!

- 4 tablespoons cake flour (that’s plain flour, not self-rising), 4 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoons baking cocoa, 1 egg, 3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil, 3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional), a small splash of vanilla essence 1 coffee mug
Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly. Pour in the milk and oil and mix well. Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla essence, and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts.
The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don’t be alarmed! Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired. EAT! (this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous). And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world? Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!
It looked kinda weird, but it tasted really YUMMY!!

Fun:) My son has an early release day today! He will love this as a special treat while the little kids are napping. Thanks for sharing Donna:)

oh no! the last thing my waistline needs is the ability to make cake in five minutes….

Oooo, that’s too easy and looks a bit addicting. Thanks for that.

I saw this on my How to of the Day widget a while back and mailed it to myself because while I love a 5 layer chocolate cake, I love the idea a of a 5 min chocolate cake fix. It’s like crack in a mug. Yummmmmy!

This would be bad for my waistline, but I’m a chocoholic and I know I would LOVE it!!

I tried this but one caution is, we have to eat it really fast since the cake hardens after like, 10 minutes (or when it completely cools).
But still, this quick cake is good enough for me!

I’ve had this recipe for a while but never tried it. So, it’s really good, huh? I’ll have to give it a whirl. My little one LOVES ‘shock-wit’.
lol

This sounds great. I can use the cocoa that I use for the homemade hot cocoa recipe I have from Nestle’s.
I’m going to make jars of the Homemade Hot Cocoa Mix for Christmas Presents this year, some using Splenda (for inlaws that are Diabetic, and some using sugar).
This would be a great recipe to put all the dry ingredients in a little bag and put inside of some large festive coffee mugs, then a gift tag with the recipe and ingredients they’ll need to add, and of course instructions. A great Christmas gift recipe I think.
Thanks.
