No-brainer Recipe: No-bake Cookies

DSC00674 This is the EASIEST and BEST recipe I have found for no-bakes. Making them right now, in fact.

2 cups sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1/2 cup milk
1 stick butter or marg.
1/2 cup peanut butter (like Jif or Peter Pan…no greasy natural stuff)
2 cups quick oats
1 tsp. vanilla

Put sugar, cocoa, milk and butter in microwave bowl. Cook on high for 1 minute. Stir, cook on high for 2 more minutes. Stir. Cook on high for 5 more minutes. Stir. Add peanut butter, vanilla, and oats. Stir until peanut butter is melted. Drop onto waxed paper until cool.

If they don’t kill me first, I will be making these when I’m 80.

Yum! We love these. I made them when I was growing up, and now my daughter makes them for us. I used to call them cow-pies since we were dairy farmers.

Have you ever tried them in a casserole dish? I did this last time I made them and it’s way easier and just as yummy! Just cut them out like you would a brownie.
